250 On-the-spot Jobs Up for Grabs in Local Student Recruitment Drive

15 Sep 2025

Gold Coast students will have the chance to land a job on-the-spot when the Student Jobs Recruitment Event brings more than 250 job opportunities to the employment frontline.

Taking place on Tuesday 16 September at HOTA, Home of the Arts, the Experience Gold Coast event will give more than 200 students a unique opportunity to gain valuable facetime with 20 employers looking to fill real job vacancies.

Students will have the rare chance to impress recruiters from some of the Gold Coast’s biggest names in tourism and hospitality, with roles available at The Langham Gold Coast, Funlab (creators of Holey Moley and Hijinx Hotel), Sea World Resort and more.

The event promises a direct pathway into seasonal, part-time and casual work ahead of the busy holiday period.

Experience Gold Coast CEO John Warn said the event was designed to cut through the competitive job market and give young people a clear pathway into work.

“This event puts students face-to-face with hiring managers who are actively looking to fill roles right now. It’s a game-changer for anyone looking for seasonal, part-time or casual work ahead of the busy summer period,” Mr Warn said.

The event is free to attend for students seeking to land their dream role.

Paradise Resort will be looking to fill more than 15 roles at the Student Jobs Recruitment Event, having already recruited staff through the initiative in recent years — a pipeline of talent the resort says it regularly relies on.

“Paradise Resort is proud to be part of this initiative that connects local students directly with real job opportunities,” Paradise Resort HR Manager, Danielle Collett, said.

“Last year, we recruited more than 15 staff through this program, many of whom have gone on to become valued members of our team. Events like this not only support young people in taking their first steps into the workforce but also help us build a strong pipeline of enthusiastic, motivated team members ahead of our busiest season.”
