Announced on the festival’s first lineup is none other than the Queen of Country, legendary songstress Kasey Chambers.
The multi-award-winning Aussie artist leads a star-studded 2024 line up alongside acclaimed acts including Canadian singer-songwriter Tim Hicks, country music legend Jim Lauderdale (USA) and Grammy-nominated artist Gord Bamford (CAN).
They are joined by some of Australia’s favorite names in country including the multiple Golden Guitar winning Felicity Urquhart & John Cunningham, Taylor Moss, Josh Setterfield and rising stars Max Jackson and Sweet Talk, as well as local Gold Coast performer Emily Grace Taylor just to name just a few.
More than 20 artists have been announced in the first lineup to play the three-day Groundwater Country Music Festival (CMF) from 18-20 October 2024 held just steps from one of the Gold Coast’s most iconic beaches. The unique country festival by the coast has long been a favourite for artists and fans alike and has become an annual pilgrimage for lovers of country music.
“October is our favourite time of the year where we get to present another stacked lineup of Aussie country icons, some fantastic international talent, and a heap of festival friends,” said Festival Director Mark Duckworth. “It has been a few years since Kasey Chambers has played Groundwater CMF, we are excited to have her return with the band for an epic show.”
With 12 award winning albums under her belt, Kasey Chambers’ brilliant songwriting and world-class performance have earned her a rightful position on the global country artist stage and is one of the most popular and acclaimed artists of her generation in Australia. In 2018 she was honoured by being the youngest female ever to be inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame. This will be Kasey’s first performance at Groundwater CMF since 2017 and will be one not to miss.

Hailing from Ontario, the singer-songwriter’s vast catalogue of highly praised releases has earned him multiple Gold and Platinum records and a strong following around the world. Hicks’ ascent as an elite chart-topping act since making his country label debut in 2013 is undeniable and country fans can expect something very special from his performance on the Gold Coast.
