JIMMY BARNES TO PERFORM SOUL DEEP
EXCLUSIVELY AT BLUES ON BROADBEACH
18 MAY 2025 | GOLD COAST
Tickets on sale from 9am AEST Wednesday 26 February
Blues on Broadbeach’s (15 – 18 May) highly anticipated Kurrawa Park Sunday Ticket is back, with legendary Australian rock icon Jimmy Barnes set to perform songs from his iconic Soul Deep album as a special one-off show at the festival.
Following the success of the inaugural Kurrawa Park Sunday event in 2024, Blues on Broadbeach is promising a lineup of timeless classics and soulful rock and roll, in prime position on the beachside stage on Sunday 18 May.
Soul Deep is one of Barnes' most beloved albums, a homage to the great classics of R&B featuring a series of timeless hits, including When Something Is Wrong With My Baby, I Gotcha, and River Deep Mountain High.
Soul Deep is a bright light in Jimmy Barnes’ incredible legacy. The album hit #1 in Australia when released in 1991 and became the country’s highest selling album of 1992’s, winning two ARIA awards. It was so popular that it inspired a follow up album Soul Deeper… Songs from the Deep South in 2000.
Jimmy Barnes and band will rock the Blues on Broadbeach stage with an exclusive Soul Deep show with Barnes bringing his signature energy and these much-loved classics to fans who have been eagerly awaiting his return to the Gold Coast.
Jimmy said, “It’s always great to go back to my roots and sing the songs I listened to as a young performer learning to sing. Soul Deep has meant a lot in my life and every time the band and I get to revisit these songs, it’s a great time for us and the audience”.
Experience Gold Coast Festival Director Mark Duckworth said Blues on Broadbeach continues to grow bigger and better each year, and this exclusive ticketed show, on top of four jam packed days of free rhythm and blues, will deliver another unforgettable experience for music lovers.
“We are thrilled to welcome Jimmy Barnes’ special one-off Soul Deep show to Blues on Broadbeach,” said Mark.
“Soul Deep introduced a generation of Australians to artists such as Issac Hayes, Sam Cooke, Al Green, Wilson Pickett, and I can't wait to hear these songs live in the streets of Broadbeach.”
The Kurrawa Park Sunday Ticket will sell quickly so jump on these tickets! General Admission tickets will be on sale from 9am AEST Wednesday 26 February for $129 and $179 for VIP tickets.
Blues on Broadbeach is produced by Experience Gold Coast and supported by the Queensland Government, via Tourism and Events Queensland.
