GOLD COAST WELCOMES 6,000 DELEGATES FOR PHARMACY CONFERENCE
The Gold Coast has welcomed the 2025 Australian Pharmacy Professional Conference and Trade Exhibition (APP2025), the largest pharmacy conference in the Southern Hemisphere.
Around 6,000 delegates convened last week at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre for APP2025, which has been held on the Gold Coast for the last 20 years.
Experience Gold Coast Executive Director of Events, Avril Harris was thrilled to see APP2025 go ahead as planned as the region began its recovery from ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred.
“The Gold Coast remains a safe, vibrant, and welcoming destination, offering hundreds of world-class experiences, and our industry partners are ready to welcome delegates,” Ms Harris said.

We are currently in the process of confirming exhibitor participation and finalising the event program, with a strong focus on sustainability and our TIGC25 theme, Be Bold.

CHINA AND TAIWAN ROADSHOW
With support from the Business Events Australia Advanced Grant to focus on delegate boosting, our EGC Business Events team will travel to China and Taiwan in June for a dedicated business events roadshow.
Industry partners - Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre, Village Roadshow Theme Parks and The Star Gold Coast – will join the roadshow, which includes product updates and networking events in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Taipei. The roadshow will be delivered with support in market from Tourism and Events Queensland and Business Events Australia.
We are delighted to be in market, showcasing our valued partners and ensuring the Gold Coast remains front of mind as a premier destination for business events.
BEA USA ROADSHOW
Alongside Business Events Australia (BEA) and 16 industry partners, we were proud to be representing at the BEA North American Roadshow, which included two days in New York at the SMU International Tradeshow, as well as events in Toronto, Minneapolis, St Louis, and Dallas.
With direct air access into Brisbane and convenient one- to two-stop connections from the USA, North America remains a key conference and incentive market for the Gold Coast. This roadshow provided an opportunity to connect with more than 80 new and existing buyers across the region.
This is the first time that Experience Gold Coast and Brooke Campbell, Director of Business Events, attended as part of ‘Team Australia’, making sure the Gold Coast continues to be seen as a signature business events destination while also showcasing the city’s newest products.
