GOLD COAST EVENTS CALENDAR 2025
2025 is shaping up to be a bumper year of events for the Gold Coast, with the city ready to shine as we welcome sport, culture, arts and entertainment events throughout the year. Kicking off with the action from The Star Gold Coast Magic Millions Carnival, attention then turns to the glamour of the prestigious AACTA Awards Ceremony and AACTA Festival taking over HOTA, Home of the Arts from 5 - 9 February 2025. The second year this event has been held on the Gold Coast, locals and visitors alike can enjoy more than 100 events across five days of festivities.
Entertainment continues into March, as Cbus Super Stadium hosts the Queensland exclusive show for global superstars Green Day on their highly anticipated The Saviors Tour, closely followed by the inaugural Australian WPGA Championships and Gold Coast Festival of Golf swinging into Sanctuary Cove. The Australian Surf Lifesaving Championships (aka ‘The Aussies’) returns from 29 March - 6 April as thousands of surf life savers battle it out on our beaches and in the surf, vying to be crowned the Australian champion.
May sees Snapper Rocks take centre stage on the World Surf League’s Championship Tour when the Gold Coast Pro returns to our shores before the iconic Blues on Broadbeach takes over Broadbeach streets and parks to the delight of thousands of fans.
As we approach the halfway point of 2025, Australia's largest nostalgia festival Cooly Rocks On rolls into town 4 - 8 June, inviting attendees to celebrate the motors, music and lifestyle of yesteryear.
The first six months of 2025 are huge, so keep your eye on EGC's socials and this newsletter for all the key updates, announcements and exciting events to come.
THE STAR GOLD COAST MAGIC MILLIONS CARNIVAL
2025 is off and racing, with The Star Gold Coast Magic Millions Carnival taking centre stage over the last few weeks with action on the track, beach and across the city.

EGC is proud to partner with Magic Millions on the carnival, to showcase all that our beautiful city has to offer across their national broadcast and global coverage.

Get ready for four days of soulful rhythm and blues at Blues on Broadbeach 2025 when it returns from 15 - 18 May with an impressive first lineup set to transform Broadbeach into a sun-drenched celebration for music lovers.
This year’s festival will include the unmistakable gritty blues, swamp rock, and hypnotic groove of one of Australia’s most influential alternative acts of the ‘90s, The Cruel Sea, performing alongside Eli Paperboy Reed who returns to Australia with his powerful, soul-drenched live show.
Longtime friends and mentees of Reed, the New York Grammy®-nominated group The Harlem Gospel Travelers will also take the stage at this year’s festival with their dynamic mix of gospel, soul, and funk, alongside long time purveyor of blues and Australian music icon, DIESEL and legends of Australian Blues Bondi Cigars, both returning to the festival’s streets, each bringing their own unique sound to the GC!
