COUNCIL RECOGNITION FOR LOCAL AWARD-WINNING OPERATORS
Earlier this month, the City of Gold Coast officially recognised two local Queensland Tourism Awards winners in the Caravan and Holiday Parks category during a council meeting.
The Queensland Tourism Awards are the pinnacle of excellence in our state’s tourism industry. For 40 years, the awards have celebrated exceptional industry accomplishments, honouring the finest individuals, businesses, and events across Queensland.
The Caravan and Holiday Parks category recognises tourism excellence in a caravan or holiday park with a focus on both the facilities and services that enhance the tourism experience. The category is open to caravan or holiday parks that offer cabin and tenting accommodation and must meet a 3 to 5 Star Rating Standard.
The 2025 Bronze Award for the category was awarded to Broadwater Tourist Park. The award was accepted by Park Managers, Brooke Turner and Matthew MacDonald. Pictured with Mayor Tom Tate and City of GC CEO Tim Baker

JAPAN ROAD WARRIORS CHAMPIONING THE GOLD COAST ABROAD
Nine exceptional Experience Gold Coast partners took on the role of true “road warriors” during a recent Japan Mission, travelling across Tokyo, Osaka, and Nagoya to bring the spirit of the Gold Coast directly to the Japanese market.
Over an intense yet highly productive 10-day schedule, the delegation delivered a series of B2B workshops and seminars, creating valuable face-to-face connections with more than 500 key travel industry partners. From early morning briefings to evening networking sessions, every moment was focused on sharing product knowledge and building confidence in the Gold Coast as a preferred destination.
Against this encouraging market landscape, the mission created an incredible opportunity to showcase the Gold Coast and its diverse experiences, strong aviation access, and readiness to welcome Japanese travellers once again. The energy shown by the participating partners ensured that the Gold Coast message was delivered with impact and credibility.
As the road warriors returned home, they brought with them not only tired feet, but a solid foundation for future business growth from Japan.
