Description
The Gold Coast Performance Centre is a world-class sporting facility located in the northern suburbs of the Gold Coast at Runaway Bay. The facility served as the official training venue for athletes competing at the 2019 INAS Global Games and Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games.
Hosting a wide variety of events annually, from Interstate and World-Championship Events to school carnivals, the spacious venue offers organisers with the freedom to use their imagination when it comes to planning the perfect sporting event.
Key venue facilities include an international track and field stadium with a multi-purpose infield, 50m outdoor pool and grandstand, hockey centre and a variety of function and meeting spaces. In addition, this unique venue offers onsite accommodation, dining facilities and staffing resources capable of hosting 1000+ delegates.
From school groups to amateur athletes, athletes with a disability, national and Olympic level competitors, their state of the art facilities provide a unique training and recovery environment to enhance performance on all levels.
Past events held at the Gold Coast Performance Centre include the Annual Triathlon Australia Super Sprint Championships, 2018 World Parachute Championships, 2017 Gridiron Oceania World Qualifiers and the 2017 Australian Rugby Union Women’s National Championships.
