Blues on Broadbeach has wrapped after four huge days of live music, with tens of thousands of music lovers flooding the streets, parks, bars and stages of Broadbeach as artists and fans came together to celebrate the festival’s milestone 25th anniversary.
Australian favourites The Teskey Brothers closed out the festival to a sold-out crowd, capping off a program that blended blues legends with contemporary acts, helping introduce the genre to new and younger audiences.
International acts including Daddy Long Legs brought their high-energy, nostalgia-inspired blues sound from New York, while artists such as The Bamboos and WILSN showcased the festival’s evolving mix of soul, funk and modern blues influences.
Experience Gold Coast CEO John Warn said the huge crowds and electric atmosphere across the weekend reflected the enduring popularity of Blues on Broadbeach and the festival’s special connection with audiences after 25 years.
“It was an enormous weekend for Blues on Broadbeach, with tens of thousands of fans filling the streets, venues and stages across Broadbeach and creating an incredible atmosphere from day to night,” Mr Warn said.
“To close out the festival with a sold-out The Teskey Brothers performance was such a special moment and a fitting way to celebrate the festival’s 25-year milestone alongside the artists, fans and local community who have helped make it what it is today.”
Experience Gold Coast Festival Director Mark Duckworth said the festival’s success reflected the loyal community of fans, artists and local businesses who have supported the event since its inception and helped it evolve into one of Australia’s most loved music festivals.
“It’s a real testament to the community that has been coming here for 25 years and continuing to bring new people and new audiences into the festival,” Mr Duckworth said.
“The community comes together every year and has helped the festival stand strong for a quarter of a century.
“We’ve continued to grow in a really natural way while staying true to the spirit of Blues on Broadbeach.”
This year’s program celebrated the roots of blues music while continuing to push boundaries and introduce new sounds and artists to audiences.
New York blues-punk trio Daddy Long Legs were among the standout acts drawing enthusiastic crowds throughout the weekend, with frontman Brian Hurd describing performing in Australia and at Blues on Broadbeach as a career highlight for the band.
“Australia has always been a bucket list destination for us and Blues on Broadbeach is a festival we’ve wanted to play for a long time,” Brian Hurd said.
The milestone event showcased a program of 76 international and Australian artists spanning blues, soul, roots, funk and rhythm and blues, reinforcing Blues on Broadbeach’s reputation as a festival that honours tradition while continuing to evolve for new generations of music fans.
This year’s festival was delivered with thanks to the 2026 Sponsor Family: Gold Coast Airport, Memphis Tourism, The Langham Gold Coast, EVENTelec, TFH and media partners Triple M and Rolling Stone.
