HOTA ANNOUNCES THREE YEAR PARTNERSHIP WITH QUEENSLAND BALLET
In a powerful alignment of artistic ambition and cultural leadership, Queensland Ballet and Home of the Arts (HOTA) have announced a landmark three-year partnership that will see the creation of three music-led world premieres exclusive to the Gold Coast.
This collaboration unites two of the state’s most dynamic arts organisations in a shared commitment to pushing artistic boundaries, nurturing Australian talent, and delivering unforgettable large-scale productions.
The first genre-defying performance will see the debut of Elastic Hearts directed by Garry Stewart, featuring music if global pop icon Sia and backed by the power of Queensland Symphony Orchestra.
Both the partnership and performance, marks an exciting collaboration that will signal a new era of contemporary performance, positioning the Gold Coast as a leading destination for world class cultural experiences.
Elastic Hearts will debut at HOTA from 6 – 8 November 2025.
LORD OF THE RINGS: A MUSICAL TALE OPENS NEXT WEEK AT HOTA
Lord of the Rings: A Musical Tale unfolds live on stage at the Home of the Arts (HOTA) in a breathtaking theatrical production. Starring some of Australia’s most acclaimed musical theatre stars such as, Jemma Rix as Galadriel, Ian Stenlake as Saruman, Rob Mallett as Strider and Rarmian Newton as Frodo Baggins.

OPA! A TASTE OF GREECE AT BLEACH* 2025
The BLEACH* 2025 Festival, under the inspired creative direction of acclaimed artist Michael Zavros, promises a bold celebration of culture, art, and community on the Gold Coast. Renowned for his sophisticated aesthetic and cross-disciplinary vision, Zavros brings a refined yet playful edge to this year’s program.
A standout highlight of the Festival is OPA! A Night of Greek Delight, a vibrant Greek night that ignites the senses with music, dance, and Mediterranean flavours.
Channelling the joy and exuberance of a traditional Greek celebration, this immersive event honours the spirit of Greek heritage with open fire feasting, traditional music and dancing before the one and only DJ Adriana plays a set that will have you grooving the night away.

HOTA PRESENTS 'ENJOY THIS TRIP: THE ART OF MUSIC POSTERS’
HOTA Gallery proudly presents ‘Enjoy This Trip: The Art of Music Posters’, now open! On tour from the National Gallery of Australia, the exhibition draws from their expansive collection of Australian and international music posters, spanning from the 1960s to 1980s.
Accompanied by a playlist of your favourite hits from the era, come along to be transported to a time when the music was funky, the art was kaleidoscopic, and psychedelia was in full swing. Plus, don’t miss our vibrant program of events – from music trivia and live performances, to screen printing and immersive life drawing experiences.
