BENEFITS OF BEING AN ARTS & CULTURE HUB – HIGHLIGHTS OF DAVID DON, GALLERY GENERAL MANAGER

DavodDonHeadshort (1).jpg

Events at HOTA are committed to curating exceptional and bespoke experiences. We have a profound team of creatives available in our team who are ready to take your event to the next level. There is no exception of this when we work with our Gallery General Manager, David Don!

What can you bring to business events visiting the HOTA Gallery / what do you most like to share?

Events provide a chance for us to peel back the curtain and share these stories and insights into the art and the gallery.

Why are events important to the HOTA Gallery?

Curating and delivering exhibitions are the core of what we do at HOTA Gallery however it is only half the battle when trying to engage, educate and excite audiences. Exhibitions in combination with events and public programming offer broader opportunities to connect with audiences by offering deeper engagement and insight into the hearts and minds of the artists we are lucky enough to work with.

Furthermore, the Gallery is such a beautiful space, surrounded by incredible works from our collection and collections from all over the world. An event at HOTA Gallery is like no other, it’s a unique setting that sparks great conversations about art, life and everything in between.

The most exciting thing about the future of events at the Gallery, is exploring how we can open up the space and our collection to audiences in new and thoughtful ways, whether it be a moment to peak behind the curtains and see how we build exhibitions, or an up-late ‘night at the gallery’ tour with the curators, or a dive into our Collection space to see rare and unseen works. All I will say is, watch this space!

Gallery tours often conclude with cocktails at the rooftop Exhibitionist Bar as guests soak in the skyline views over the Gold Coast waterfront and enjoy cocktails inspired by the art!
