QUEENSLAND IS CALLING UK AND EUROPE 2025
Tourism and Events Queensland (TEQ) is pleased to offer Queensland industry the opportunity to engage with influential UK and European trade partners, through attending the Queensland is Calling (QIC), UK & Europe Roadshow from Sunday, 21 to Friday, 26 September 2025.
This event provides a platform for Queensland destinations and products to engage and train influential UK and European Product Managers, wholesaler staff and retail agents (including Aussie specialists). QIC UK and Europe is estimated to reach 80 retail agents and 70 product managers.
QTIC NAIDOC CORPORATE BREAKFAST
Join Queensland Tourism Industry Council (QTIC) for one of the largest NAIDOC events in Queensland at their annual NAIDOC Breakfast in Meeanjin, Brisbane.
Embracing the 2025 NAIDOC theme, The Next Generation: Strength, Vision and Legacy, this special event will be hosted by the charismatic John Paul Janke.

ENTER NOW: GOLD COAST BUSINESS EXCELLENCE AWARDS
The Gold Coast Business Excellence Awards are the region's leading honours for business achievements.
Each month, awards are presented in 11 categories. At the end of the year, all the monthly winners vie for annual awards in each category and compete for the Business of the Year Award honour at a black-tie Gala Awards Dinner to be held in November.
Entries are due by 5:00pm on the 1st of each month from May to October inclusive.
APPLICATIONS OPEN: ATEC ELITE PROGRAM 2025
ATEC’s ELITE Program applications are now open, designed to develop the next generation of leaders in inbound tourism, ELITE offers a powerful professional development journey for emerging talent across the industry.
Kicking off on 1 July 2025, the program features a series of engaging online sessions focused on leadership skills, personal growth, and industry insights. Each participant will be paired with an experienced industry mentor to guide and inspire them throughout the program.
The 2025 cohort will culminate their journey at Meeting Place, where they’ll showcase their learnings to industry and graduate alongside their peers. If you’re ready to grow your leadership potential or want to support the next wave of talent as a mentor, now’s the time to get involved. Applications close on Friday, 13 June 2025.
APPLICATIONS OPEN: AUSTRALIA MARKETPLACE NORTH AMERICA
Applications are now open for Australia Marketplace North America (AMNA25) via Tourism Australia's website.
Australia Marketplace events present an opportunity for representatives from the Australian tourism industry to establish business relationships with key qualified travel agencies, wholesalers and tour operators from North America. The event will include two days of pre-scheduled appointments between buyers and sellers as well as networking opportunities.
High demand is anticipated for the event. Oversubscription will be managed in line with the selection criteria and in conjunction with state/territory tourism organisations to ensure quality appointment schedules. Applications submitted after the application deadline will be automatically waitlisted.

Award categories:
- Individual – celebrating residents including young people, seniors and people from diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Group – recognising the contribution of our city’s community groups.

LIME SUPPORTS A KOALITY CAUSE!
Lime has partnered with Queensland’s Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary (CWS) to design 20 custom e-bike wraps featuring the sanctuary's beloved animal stars. This initiative is part of a week-long fundraiser to help protect local wildlife.
In April, visitors and Gold Coast community members who rode one of the beautifully decorated e-bikes contributed to this important cause.
Thanks to their support, Lime is proud to have donated $2000 to the Sanctuary’s vital conservation program. CWS will also continue as Lime’s official Lime Hero partner. Through the program, riders can choose to round up their ride, with all proceeds donated directly to the Sanctuary.

MONSTER MACHINERY DAY - SUNDAY 22 JUNE

Spread across an entire kilometre of the Broadwater Parklands’ Great and Southern Lawns, Monster Machinery Day gives locals a chance to experience the machinery transforming and maintaining the Gold Coast.
There'll be free activities on offer including live machinery demonstrations (think woodchipper), a rock-climbing wall, train rides and the all-time favourite for toddlers, the huge sand pit!
