T20 CRICKET BE FAMIL SPARKS LONG TERM OPPORTUNITIES
The Gold Coast recently hosted a four-day T20 Cricket Famil Program, designed to showcase the destination as a world-class choice for incentive travel.
With the support of 18 incredible partners who helped us bring the famil to life, the program offered guests from the Indian market an unforgettable Gold Coast experience. While the cricket match was a highlight — complete with meet-and-greets with Australian players — the real success came from the connections made throughout the event.
The famil provided the perfect opportunity to strengthen relationships and highlight the Gold Coast’s unique blend of business and lifestyle. Guests eagerly shared their experiences across social media, amplifying the region’s reach and reinforcing its appeal as a top incentive destination.
More than just a sporting experience, the famil demonstrated the power of collaboration and the Gold Coast’s ability to create memorable, relationship-driven experiences that leave a lasting impression.
GOLD COAST CONNECT – MELBOURNE & SYDNEY RECAP
Last week, our Sales team, together with 16 valued Business Events partners, proudly hosted our Gold Coast Connect dinners in two of Australia’s most vibrant cities. The first evening took place at the elegant Society Restaurant in Melbourne, followed by a memorable gathering at The International in Sydney.
With over 30 clients attending at each event, these exclusive events provided the perfect opportunity to strengthen relationships, share exciting updates about the Gold Coast, and showcase why our destination continues to inspire exceptional business events.
We look forward to hosting another successful round of each Gold Coast Connect event again in March 2026. Dates and further details will be announced in the coming weeks.
QUEENSLAND BUSINESS EVENTS SURVEY INFO SESSION RECAP
The Queensland Business Events Survey (QBES) is conducted for Tourism and Events Queensland (TEQ) to evaluate and enhance the performance of Queensland’s business events sector. TEQ maintains funding agreement with EGC to attract and secure meetings, conferences, and incentive events for the state.
Through these partnerships, Queensland benefits from significant economic stimulus, increased opportunities for business clients to host events in the region, greater value and profit potential for local operators, and an overall enhancement of the city’s competitiveness in the national and international events market.
